About iPhone 3GS iOS 5 Upadte - iOS 5 will be launched later this year 2011 with the launch of iPhone 5, and Apple is working hard on their major update to their Mobile OS (expected iOS 5). But, iPhone 3GS will be not getting this iOS 5 Upgarde.
Actually, this report was according to Eldair Murtzain, who is usually spot on when it comes to information on the iPhone and other Mobile Devices, The iPhone 3GS will not get iOS 5 update, but iPhone 4 will.
This was happened when Apple announced iOS 4, but the iPhone 2G did not get that iOS 4 update and iPhone 3G had limited functions when it received the iOS 4 Update. This is why, iPhone 3GS will not get an iOS 5 Update. Actually, Apple announced that the iPhone 3G would not get all the functions of iOS 4, due to Hardware constraints.
