Android Phone has now got an update of Skype, which has unvieled an Android Version of its VoIP Service. This Skype VoIP service works on Android Phones which are running Android 2.1 or higher(Android 2.2).
Skype for Android Phone just brought their Free Internet Calling app out of its Verizon and opened it to the General Market. On Android Phones which are running Android 2.1 or higher can make Skype, Calls, chats and also sync Skype to their personal contacts.
Important Point – This Skype for Android Phone will work only over WiFi or a mobile data connection, and US users can only make calls through Wi-Fi, and this Skype App for Android Phone is now available in the Android Market for free.

They said that this Skype app has been tested on Android Phone an HTC Device with Android OS 2.1 and above. The Skype Team is also saying that they are aware of some problems with the Samsung Galaxy S, which is also an Android Phone running Android 2.1. They will be looking to address in the future.
Where this Skype App for Android Phone is not available – As Skype said that it is not available in the China and Japan Android Market.
